Early on the 17th of September, we left Zaragoza for the long (300km) drive to Barcelona, Catalunya, our final destination in Spain. We arrived in the afternoon, searching the huge city for Hotel Alexandra, located in the Eixample district on Calle Mallorca, between Rambla de Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia.When we found it, we were refused parking in their garage for our huge (by Euro standards) Renault Espace van, so we unloaded our luggage from the curb and ditched the car at the Avis concession a couple of blocks away. Carol reunited with her first cousin, Patricia Tschorne. On the 20th, we departed Barcelona for Atlanta and home in San Diego.
