On December 7, 2002, 24 MINIs from all over SoCal (San Luis Obispo
to Baja California) converged on San Diego for a fun run along our scenic coastline.
Organized by John Dumlao ("Johnny Ceviche") and publicized on the popular MINI
internet forums (MINI2, minicooperonline, and RoadFly), this almost spontaneous event unfolded
like a well-planned military campaign. The weather was beautiful, the cars were awesome,
and best of all, the participants had a great time. It was hard to tell who had more fun,
the participants or the Saturday morning strollers in La Jolla and San Diego as we motored
by! And for those of you in the rest of the country in the grip of
winter...eat your hearts out! |
